Pamusha has been part of the Victoria Falls hospitality landscape for decades.
Published destination information records the lodge as having opened in the early 1990s and undergoing a major renovation in 2013. What has stayed the same across all of that is the idea behind the name.
Pamusha means at home in Shona, and the lodge is built around it rather than around formality. Guests eat together under the gazebo. There is a fire pit, a pool, a garden full of teak trees and a great deal of easy conversation after a day out at the falls.
A quiet corner of a busy town
Victoria Falls has grown considerably as a destination. Pamusha sits away from the busiest part of it, in a residential area behind a solid wall and old teak trees, which is exactly why a lot of guests choose it. You get the town when you want it and quiet when you do not.
Beyond the lodge
Over the years the business grew outwards from the accommodation. Today we run our own boats on the Zambezi, arrange every activity available in and around Victoria Falls, and move guests across borders into Botswana, Zambia and Namibia.
The idea has not changed. Come as a traveller, leave feeling at home.
